At the heart of Thryve Consulting Group is our Founder and Managing Director, Paula Lewis.

With almost four decades of experience in health and social care, Paula has dedicated her career to improving outcomes for individuals with complex needs and supporting organisations to achieve excellence. Since qualifying as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1986, she has held a wide range of clinical, operational, and executive leadership roles across both the NHS and independent sectors.

As Managing Director of a highly successful specialist care organisation, Paula led an ambitious programme of growth across South Wales, expanding services to support more than 425 individuals across 32 nursing home, supported living, residential and day service settings while leading a workforce of over 1,300 colleagues. Under her leadership, the organisation developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality support for individuals living with mental health needs, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, learning disabilities, autism, and dementia.

Paula's commitment to lifelong learning and professional development is reflected in her extensive qualifications, including a Diploma and BSc in Nursing, Diploma in Health Care Management (DipHCM), PGCE, MA in Professional Development and Education, mentoring qualifications, and specialist Mental Capacity Act Assessor training. In recognition of her contribution to the sector, she was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award at the 2022 British Care Awards.

While Paula leads every engagement personally, one of the greatest strengths of Thryve Consulting Group is the extensive professional network she has developed throughout her career. Having worked alongside regulators, commissioners, clinicians, educators, legal professionals, operational leaders, and sector specialists for many years, Paula is able to bring together trusted experts whenever additional expertise is required.
